This Norstar 7‑1/4″ Sure‑Grip Retrofit Kit is a heavy‑duty upgrade designed to improve traction and drive reliability in Norstar drag conveyor and trough systems. The Sure‑Grip system replaces standard smooth drive components with an aggressive, toothed drive wheel and matching mounting hardware to reduce slippage and maintain consistent chain engagement under load.
The kit shown includes a 7‑1/4″ Sure‑Grip drive wheel, a gear reducer/drive assembly, and a slotted mounting plate for proper alignment and tension adjustment. Constructed from thick cast iron and steel components, the Sure‑Grip design is intended for demanding grain handling applications where wear, dust, and variable loads are common.
